"I started playing soccer when I was 10 years old and played in various club teams in the northern suburbs of St. Paul, MN throughout my teenage years. I played 2 years at Roseville high school, 2 years at Brigham Young University, and practiced with the Minnesota Thunder in their inaugural season. After college, I continued in men's indoor and outdoor leagues for an additional 20 years. I received my National 'D' License in 2004 and coached for 3 years in the Schaumburg area. 2025 is my first season coaching with HWESC.
I love soccer and I love sports. I know that athletic development can be a key contributor for kids to gain proficiency in different skills and develop confidence in themselves. My best coaches growing up were those that challenged me and gave me opportunities to succeed. They, as well as the other kids on my team, were very influential on my physical and social development. As a coach, I look to provide a positive environment that challenges the kids to grow, learn, and have fun playing soccer.
Outside of soccer, I love to spend time with my wife and 5 kids. I am an avid runner, with 20 marathons under my belt. I like to stay active in the outdoors.
